Germany, the Weimar Republic, Silver 3 Reichsmark (15.00g, 30mm), 1931 A, Berlin mint, 300th Anniversary of the Rebuilding of Magdeburg commemorative issue. Obverse: German Eagle within Kite shield, tressure of arches within spandrels, lined border and legend surrounds, “DEUTSCHES REICH DREI·REICHSMARK”. Reverse: Shield of Arms of Magdeburg, date either side, each above a city scene of the Magdeburg, beaded border and legend surrounds, “·WIEDERGEBURT· NACH· ZWIETRACHT· UND· NOT· ·MAGDEBURG·”. KM-72. A scarce one year type with a low mintage of 100,000, some nice unilateral olive toning to the reverse which features an attractive rendition of the city, virtually Mint State.
