Kingdom of Romania, Carol I of the House of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, King of the Romanians 1881-1914 AD, Gold Twenty Lei (6.44g, 21mm), 1883 B, State mint, Bucharest. Obverse: Bare head of King Carol I facing to the left, engraver’s name “KULLRICH” (Friedrich Wilhelm Kullrich), legend surrounds, “CAROL I REGEAL ROMANEI”. Reverse: Coat of arms of the Kingdom of Romania (1881-1922), date to field either side, mintmark and date below. Edge: Inscription in raised letters, “PATRIA SI DREPTUL MEU”. KM-20. Few minor obverse contact marks, otherwise quite bold, a very attractive piece and desirable in grade, Extremely Fine.
