Roman Republic, Publius Crepusius, Silver Denarius (3.76g, 17mm), Rome mint 82 BC. Obverse: Laureate head of Apollo facing to the right, sceptre over shoulder, “B” to left field, Harpa to right field. Reverse: Horseman galloping to the right, hurling spear, control mark “XXI” upward to left field, moneyer’s name “P·CREPVSI” in exergue. Crawford-361/1c; Sydenham-738a. Some graffiti on obverse right field, otherwise nicely toned and evenly worn, the reverse as choicely centred as can be, Very Fine.
