Roman Republic, Ti. Claudius Ti.f. Ap.n. Nero, Silver Denarius Serratus (3.90g, 19mm), Rome mint 79 BC. Obverse: Diademed and draped bust of Diana facing to the right, bow and quiver over shoulder, “S·C” upward to right. Reverse: Victoria, holding laurel wreath aloft in left hand and reins in right, commands biga which advances to the right, control mark “A·XVI” below, moneyer’s name “TI·CLAVD·TI·[F]” (‘VD’ ligate) in exergue.
