Seleucid Kingdom, Philip I Epiphanes Philadelphus, Basileus of the Seleucid Kingdom 94-83/75 BC, Silver Tetradrachm (15.93g, 27mm, Reduced Attic Standard), Antioch on the Oriontes mint after 88/7 BC. Obverse: Diademed head of King Philip I facing to the right, segmented rope border surrounds. Reverse: Zeus Nikephoris enthroned facing to the left, drapery flows from waist over crossed legs, holding long sceptre in left hand and Nike aloft in right, “BAΣIΛEΩ[Σ] ΦIΛIΠΠΟΥ” downward to right, “EΠIΦΑΝΟΥ[Σ] [Φ]IΛAΔEΛ[ΦΟΥ]” downward to left, laurel wreath border surrounds. Some minor deposits on obverse although largely unobtrusive to the eye when held in hand, the reverse a touch off centre although the present detail is high, near Extremely Fine.
