Obverse: Bare head of Emperor Napoleon I facing to the left, engraver’s name “DROZ F.” (Jean-Pierre Droz Fēcit) incuse on neck truncation, Mint Master’s monogram “Ct” below (Charles-Pierre de l’Espine), legend surrounds, “NAPOLEON EMPEREUR.”. Reverse: Denomination central within wreath of two laurel branches tied by ribbon, date “AN 13” between Mint Master’s mark “rooster” (Charles-Pierre de l’Espine) and mintmark below, country “REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE.” surrounds above.
