Russian Empire, Nicholas I of the House of Holstein-Gottorp-Romanov, Emperor of Russia, King of Congress Poland and Grand Duke of Finland 1825-1855 AD, Gold Five Roubles (6.37g, 23mm), 1829 СПБ ПД, Saint Petersburg mint, under mint master Pavel Danilov. Obverse: ‘Masonic-style’ Imperial Coat of Arms of the Russian Empire (1803–1840 AD type), mint master’s initials “ПД” (Pavel Danilov) to field below, date “1829 ГОДА” surrounds below, denomination in Cyrillic “ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ.” Surrounds above. Reverse: Weight and fineness in zolotnik and dolya written in four lines in Cyrillic, “ЧИСТАГО ЗОЛОТА 1 ЗОЛОТН= 39 ДОЛЕЙ∙”, mintmark “С∙П∙Б∙” below, imperial crown above, all within wreath of laurel and oak.
