Obverse: Busts of Emperor Nicholas II on the left and former Emperor Michael I on the right, each facing ¾ to the right, the first bare-headed and wearing military uniform of the life guards of the 4th infantry regiment of the Imperial family, the second wearing Monomakh’s Cap and royal robes, all within decorative border. Reverse: Heraldic charge of the Armorial of the Empire of Russia (1882 version), denomination in Cyrillic “РУБЛЯ” above, commemorative date-range below. Edge: Fineness and weight stated in zolotnik and dolya in incuse Cyrillic lettering, “ЧИСТАГО СЕРЕБРА 4 ЗОЛОТНИКА 21 ДОЛЯ (В•С)”. KM Y-70.
