Phraates V (Phraataces), Shahanshah or King of Kings of the Parthian Empire 2 BC – 4 AD, Silver Drachm (2.44g, 18mm), Mithradatkart mint. Obverse: Diademed bust of King of Kings Phraates V facing to the left, star-in-crescent to left field, Nike to right field crowning him with wreath. Reverse: Arsaces I seated facing to the right, wielding bow forward, “VTΠ” monogram below bow, legend in corrupted Ancient Greek surrounds. Sellwood-56.6. A modest example, evenly worn and decently well centred, Very Fine, reverse less so.
