Description
Titus Flavius Domitianus, as Caesar of the Flavian Dynasty under Titus 79-81 AD, Silver Denarius (3.47g, 17mm), Rome mint 80 AD. Obverse: Laureate head of Domitian facing to the right, legend surrounds, “CΛESAR ·DIVI F DOMITIΛNVS COS VII”. Reverse: Cretan goat stands facing to the left, all within laurel wreath, ribbon bow tied below, legend surrounds, “PRINCEPS IVVENTVTIS”. Sear-2675; RIC-267 (Titus); RSC-390. Well struck and toned, choice centring on the obverse and only minorly off centre on the reverse, a popular type as Caesar, Very Fine.
