United States of America, Æ ‘Coronet Head’ One Cent, 1833, Philadelphia mint. Obverse: Head of Liberty facing to the left, wearing coronet inscribed “LIBERTY”, date below, thirteen six-pointed states surround. Reverse: Denomination “ONE CENT” central within wreath of olive, country “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” surrounds. Newcomb-6. A nicely struck and visually pleasing example, possibly lightly polished in the past, Extremely Fine to near Mint State.
