Kingdom of Norway, Christian V of the House of Oldenburg, King of Denmark and Norway 1670-1699 AD, Silver Four Mark Danske (22.09g, 39mm), 1682 PG, Type II, Christiania mint, Oslo, under mint master Peter Grüner Junior. Obverse: King Christian V’s Royal Cypher (monogram of “C5”) surmounted by Royal Crown of Christian IV, date to field either side, abridged legend below, “P·E·I·”. KM-148; Davenport EC II-3663. A very noteworthy example of this type, well struck and with nice original toning but with some unfortunate scratches to field, the coin itself certainly better than the L.E.
