Description
First Czechoslovak Republic, Gold Dukát (3.50g, 20mm), 1931, without reverse serial numbers type, Kremnica mint. Obverse: Lesser Coat of Arms of the First Czechoslovak Republic central, floral emblems extend either side, date below, legend surrounds, “REPUBLIKA ČESKOSLOVENSKÁ”. Reverse: Three quarter length figure of Saint Wenceslaus I (Late Duke of Bohemia, died early 10th century) facing, holding banner and book, engraver’s initial “B” (Jaroslav Benda) and “O.S.” (Otakar Španiel) either side, inner lined border and legend surrounds, “NEDEJ· ZAHYNOUTI· NÁM· I· BUDOUCÍM”. KM-8. Certified and graded by PCGS as Mint State 62.
