Romania, Michael I of the House of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, King of Romania in his second reign 1940-1947 AD, Gold Medallic Issue of Twenty Lei (6.55g, 21mm), 1944, Liberation Day of Northern Ardeal commemorative issue, State mint, Bucharest. Obverse: Jugate busts of Michael the Brave, King Ferdinand and King Michael I facing to the left, within inner lined border, “ARDEALUL NOSTRU” surrounds above, “1601 1918 1944” surrounds below. Reverse: Crowned Head of an Eagle left above “ROMANIA”, within border of the Coats of Arms of the Transylvanian counties abducted in 1940 by Hungary with the support of Germany and Italy. Edge: Latin Motto, “NIHIL SINE DEO”. KM X M-13. Certified and graded by PCGS as Mint State 64.
