Spanish Empire, King Charles III (1759-1788 AD), Gold Half Escudo of 800 Reis (1.71g, 15mm), 1788 S, Sevilla mint. Obverse: Bare-headed bust of King Charles III facing right, legend surrounds, “CAROL· III· D·G· HISP· R· 1788·”. Reverse: Third crowned Shield of Arms of the Kingdom of Spain within collar of the order of the Golden Fleece, flanked by “S” and “C”. KM-425.2. Possibly ex-mount but the mount location with seemingly no damage, overall a charming piece, Very Fine, reverse good Very Fine.
