Obverse: Heraldic charge of the Armorial of the Empire of Russia (Nicholas I second variant), mint master’s initials “НГ” below, all within inner roped border, fineness and weight stated in zolotnik and dolya in Cyrillic surrounds, “ЧИСТАГО СЕРЕБРА 4 ЗОЛОТНИКА 21 ДОЛЯ”. Reverse: Denomination in Cyrillic “МОНЕТА РƔБЛЬ” in two lines, Emperor’s Crown of Russia above, date and mintmark “С.П.Б.” below, all within wreath of laurel branch left and oak right, tied below with ribbon.
