Obverse: Crowned Shield of Arms featuring the Dutch Republic Lion, denomination either side, inner roped boarder and legend surrounds, “MO : ARG : ORD : FOED : BELG : HOL :”. Reverse: Dutch ship in full sail to the right, flowing waves below, inner roped border and legend surrounds, “INDIÆ BATAVORUM”. KM-83; Scholten-488b. Handsomely toned with an original, dark patina, and well centred, minor die break through ‘BATAVORUM’ and date, details Extremely Fine.
