Description
British Commonwealth, Australia, Queen Elizabeth II (1952-2022 AD), ‘Lunar Series One’, Silver Proof Set of Three ‘Year of the Rooster’, 2005, includes Pure Silver (0.999) Two Ounce $2, One Ounce $1, Half Ounce 50 Cents, issued by the Perth Mint. Obverse of each: Fourth Head of Queen Elizabeth II facing to the right, wearing Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara, engravers initials “IRB” (Ian Rank-Broadley) below, denomination below, legend surrounds, “ELIZABETH II AUSTRALIA”. Reverse: Rooster stands left, head turned back to the right, floral emblems surround, date to left, traditional Chinese symbol “雞” (‘Chicken’) to right, weight, purity and mintmark “P” in exergue. Mintage of 1,000. Housed in coin capsules and in red display box. Missing Certificate of Authenticity. The red box with some deterioration to outside, a desirable set of Series I roosters regardless, each coin perfect, proof and fleur de coin.
