Kingdom of the Visigoths, Suintila, Visigothic King of Hispania, Septimania and Galicia 621-631 AD, Gold Tremissis (1.44g, 20mm), Toledo mint 621-631 AD. Obverse: Bare-headed and cuirassed bust of King Suintila facing, legend surrounds, “+ SVINTHILA REX”. Reverse: Bare-headed and cuirassed bust of King Suintila facing, legend surrounds, “+ TOLETO PIVS”. CNV-298; Pliego-361. A nice piece struck choicely on a flan free of any waviness, some trifling marks else evenly worn and a nice example of the type, Extremely Fine.
