Vologases VI, Shahanshah or King of Kings of the Parthian Empire 208-213 AD, Silver Drachm (3.60g, 18mm), Ecbatana mint 208-213 AD. Obverse: Bust of King of Kings Vologases VI facing to the left with long, pointed beard, wearing tiara with neck flap and a line of pellets on stalks on side, “WZ” in Aramaic to upper right field. Reverse: Arsaces I seated facing to the left, wielding bow forward, “Λ” below bow, legend corrupted Ancient Greek surrounds, single line of Aramaic legend above. Sellwood-88.20. Somewhat porous surfaces otherwise struck on a very idyllic, broad flan featuring quite a decent portrait, the reverse decently centred for the type, good Very Fine.
