Archbishops of York, Wigmund, Archbishop of York following Wulfsige and before Wulfhere, died 854 AD, Æ Stycca (1.22g, 12mm), York mint, Moneyer Coenræd. Obverse: Short cross pattée central, legend beginning with initial mark cross pattée surrounds, “VIGMVND IREP”. Reverse: Short cross pattée central, legend beginning with initial mark cross pattée surrounds, “COFNRED”. North-196; Spink-870. Well centred each side and legible, with a nice earthy dark patina, appears better in hand, Very Fine.
