Description
Cilicia, Mallus, Silver Stater of two Siglos (10.96g, 20mm, Persian Standard), struck circa 440-400 BC. Obverse: Bearded and winged male deity in kneeling-running stance facing left, wielding solar disc with both hands. Reverse: Swan stands facing left, “MAꟼ” above. Casabonne Type 2 var. Head a touch off flan, otherwise a great example of this semi scarcer type from Ancient Anatolia. Very Fine.
