Flavius Julius Constantius, Roman Emperor of the Constantinian Dynasty 337-361 AD, Æ Follis, Constantinople mint 348-351 AD. Obverse: Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust of Constantius II facing to the left, holding globe in right hand, legend surrounds, “DN CONSTANTIVS PF AVG”. Reverse: Constantius II, in full military attire, standing facing to the left over two kneeling captives, holding labarum aloft in right hand and resting left on grounded shield, “Γ” to left field, mintmark “CONSB” and star in exergue, legend surrounds, “FEL TEMP REPARATIO”. RIC VIII-90, B. The famous ‘Restoration of Happier Times’ series of Constantius II and Constans, a glossy patina and choicely centred on a neat, round flan, weakness of strike in parts, quite nice in hand and of fine style, near Extremely Fine.
