Kingdom of Greco-Bactria, Eukratidēs II of the Eucratid Dynasty, King of the Greco-Bactrian Kingdom circa 145-140 BC, Silver Tetradrachm (17.00g, 30mm, Attic Standard), circa 145-140 BC. Obverse: Diademed and draped bust of King Eukratides II facing to the right. Reverse: Apollo stands left, nude apart from chlamys on shoulder, holding arrow in right hand and resting left on bow at his side, “HΛ” to inner left field, “BAΣΙΛΕΩΣ EYKPATIΔOY” downward to right and left. Bopearachchi Série 1H; SNG ANS 619-23. Bold portraiture in high relief, reverse a little soft as is often seen, well centred each side, much nicer in hand, good Very Fine.
