Description
Lesbos, Mytilene, Electrum Hekte – Sixth of a Stater (2.56g, 10mm, Chian Standard), circa 377-326 BC. Obverse: Laureate head of Apollo facing to the right. Reverse: Head of female facing to the right, within linear square. Bodenstedt-95. A most charming little hekte of Mytilene and a standard issue with two heads, the obverse unfortunately struck off-centre which is very frequent for the type, the reverse quite choice and of fine style, Extremely Fine, reverse near Extremely Fine.
