Obverse: Head of Liberty facing to the left, wearing Indian headdress inscribed “LIBERTY”, date below, legend surrounds, “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA”. Reverse: Denomination central in two lines, Escutcheon above, all within wreath of oak, tied below with ribbon and three arrows, mintmark below. KM-90a. Calendar year output of $3,090 face value for San Francisco mint 1909 (309,000 mintage). Certified and graded by PCGS as Fine 15. Key date for the series.
