United States of America, Silver ‘Barber’ 50 Cents (12.46g, 30.5mm), 1906 D, Denver mint. Obverse: Head of Liberty facing to the right, wearing Phrygian Cap for liberty beneath wreath of laurel, engraver’s initial “B” (Charles e. Barber) incuse on truncation, date below, motto above, 13 stars surround. Reverse: American Bald Eagle bearing the Great Seal, with wings outstretched and head turned to the left, grasping bundle of arrows and olive branch with both claws, denomination and mintmark below, 13 stars above, country surrounds. KM-116. Deeply toned and evenly worn, more worn on the obverse yet with ‘LIBERTY’ bold, great detail on eagle, grades XF40 or possibly higher.
