The Second Reich, German Colonial Empire, New Guinea, Emperor Wilhelm II (1888-1918), Silver One Mark (5.54g, 24mm), 1894 A, Berlin mint. Obverse: Bird of Paradise perched on branch, head turned to the left and with wings spread. Reverse: Denomination and date central within palm wreath tied with bow, mintmark below, country surrounds above. KM-5. Typical minor contact marks, otherwise quite a good example with pleasing, light cabinet toning, full bird’s eye, good Very Fine, reverse near Extremely Fine.
