The Second Reich, German Colonial New Guinea, Emperor Wilhelm II (1888-1918 AD), Æ Two Pfennig, 1894 A, Berlin mint. Obverse: “NEU-GUINEA COMPAGNIE” above crossed palm branches. Reverse: Mark of value central, beaded border and legend which details denomination and date surrounds. KM-2. Certified and Graded by PCGS as Mint State 63 Brown. Rich with an even, dark chocolate brown patina, the scarcer of the bronze denominations with an initial 250,000 mintage but with 233,232 melted down, a highly sought after piece.
