United Mexican States, Silver One Peso, 1911, 100th Anniversary of the “Cry for Independence” commemorative issue. Obverse: Coat of Arms of Mexico at the centre, denomination either side, country in Spanish surrounds above. Reverse: Liberty seated atop horse cantering to the left, draped and with billowing cape, holding oak branch in right hand and torch above in left, sun rays in background with longer left ray, date in exergue. Edge: Inscription in incuse lettering, “INDEPENDENCIA Y LIBERTAD”. KM-453. Handsomely toned, good Very Fine.
