Russia, Elisabeth I of Russia (1741-1762), Cessation of Land Border Disputes Medallion in Bronze (65mm, 102.57g), struck by T Ivanov (?) 1754. Obverse: Crowned and draped bust of Queen Elizabeth I of Russia facing to the right, legend surrounds, “D.G. ELISABETA. AVGVSTA. OMN. ROSS.”. Reverse: Draped figure stands by measuring device, her foot on a menacing figure on the floor holding a snake, two men in the background, legend surrounds, “LITEMVT DISCERNERET ARVIS.”, “POSITI AGRIS LIMITES D. XIII. MAY. MCCLIV.” in exergue. Diakov-99.2. Some rim damage on the reverse, else details are Extremely Fine, rare piece.
