Obverse: Shield of Arms of the United Kingdom surmounted by Tudor crown, cruciform shields of arms of the states of Australia surround: South Australia (early type), Western Australia, Queensland, Victoria, Tasmania, and New South Wales, date below, legend surrounds, “COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA”. Reverse: Name plate central, raised legend above “COMMONWEALTH CELEBRATIONS SYDNEY 1901 PRESENTED TO”, olive wreath and outer legend surrounds, “IN HONOR BEAR THY NATION’S NAME”. Carlisle-1901/14.
