British Raj, the Princely State of Awadh, Nawab Saadat Ali Khan II (1798-1814 AD), Silver Rupee (11.12g, 23mm), AH 1227 (1812 AD), Frozen year 26, Banaras mint, struck in the name of Mughal Emperor Shah Alam II. Obverse: Legend in Persian naming the Mughal Emperor Shah Alam II and Hijri year. Reverse: Legend as obverse, noting the ‘frozen’ year 26, fish privy mark below, flag and star to right. KM-103.2. Nicely toned each side with a deep grey-brown, attractive piece with most noteworthy devices on flan, Extremely Fine.
