Description
British Raj, the Princely State of Kutch, Silver Five Kori, Vikram Samvat Year 1993 (1936 AD), Bhuj mint. Obverse: Crescent flanked by trident and dagger above horizontal legend in Devanagari naming Maharajadhiraj Khengarji III and Vikram Samvat year, inner lined border and further legend in Devanagari surrounds. Reverse: Legend in Urdu horizontal naming King George V of the United Kingdom and the Gregorian year in Arabic numbers, inner lined border and floral pattern surrounds. KM Y-67. Certified and graded by PCGS as Mint State 64 (38692304). Lightly toned with hints of amber, a charming and sharp example of a common Kutch piece.
