Description
British Raj (Crown Rule of India), Victoria of the House of Hanover, Queen of the United Kingdom 1837-1901 AD, Gold Mohur (11.63g, 26mm), frozen date 1862, Calcutta mint after 23rd July 1869. Obverse: Crowned and robed bust of Queen Victoria facing to the left, legend surrounds, “VICTORIA QUEEN”. Reverse: Denomination, country, and date central within inner beaded border, all within ten-pointed star entwined with scrollwork. Stevens-4.1 (A/I). A noteworthy British India mohur of Victoria with a bold obverse featuring quite an attractive portrait, reverse similar, Extremely Fine.
