George III of the House of Hanover, King of Great Britain 1760-1820 AD, Silver Emergency Dollar of Four Shillings Nine Pence (26.89g, 39.5mm), second octagonal counter-stamp type upon a Spanish Eight Reales of King Charles IV, 1801Mo, Mexico City mint. Obverse: Large octagonal counter-stamp of the laureate, cuirassed and draped bust of King George III facing to right at the centre over the laureate, cuirassed and draped bust of King Charles IV of Spain facing to the right, date below, legend surrounds, “CAROLUS· IIII· DEI· GRATIA·”. Reverse: Royal Coat of Arms of Spain, Pillars of Hercules type (1700-1868), legend surrounds, “· HISPAN· ET IND· REX· Mo· 8 R· F·M·”. Spink-3766; KM-656.
