Obverse: Laureate head of Trajan facing to the right, legend surrounds, “IMP CAES NER TRAIAN OPTIM AVG GERM DAC”. Reverse: Naked figure of Mars walking to the right, helmeted and cloaked, holding spear in right hand and trophy in left, legend surrounds, “PARTHICO [PM TR P C]OS VI PP SPQR”. RIC-331; RSC-190c. A modest grade example of Trajan, Optimus Princeps, although a touch off centre on the reverse, a great and affordable portrait, details good Very Fine, reverse Very Fine.
