Caesar Nerva Traianus, the ‘Optimus Princeps’, Roman Emperor of the Nerva-Antonine Dynasty 98-117 AD, Silver Denarius (2.97g, 18mm), Rome mint 103-111 AD. Obverse: Laureate bust of Trajan facing to the right, slight drapery over far-left shoulder, legend surrounds, “IMP TRΛIΛNO ΛVG GER DΛC PM TR P”. Reverse: Victoria advances to the left, draped in stola and holding laurel wreath aloft in right hand and palm branch in left, legend surrounds, “COS V PP SPQR OPTIMO PRINC”. RIC-128; RSC-75. Well centred on a broad flan with all devices and legends present, a decent portrait and with typically extensive titulature, near Very Fine.
