Description
Moesia, Istros (Histria), Silver Drachm or Half Stater (5.64g, 18mm, Reduced Aeginetan Standard), circa 340/330-313 BC. Obverse: Pair of male heads facing forward, the left inverted. Reverse: Sea-eagle left, grasping dolphin below, “IΣTPIH” above, “ΔI” monogram below. AMNG I 421; SNG BM Black Sea 254-255. A charming piece and a classic type, well centred with all devices on flan, collectible as such, good Very Fine.
