Conditions of Business

GENERAL

By ordering from this numismatic retail website, it is assumed that you have read, understood and accept the terms and conditions, which are applied to all sales and deliveries, made by Colonial Coins Pty Ltd (the “Company”), as set out below.

TITLE

Title of any numismatic item sold will remain property of the Company and be held until payment has been made in full by the customer to the company. Colonial Coins and Medals reserves the right to use photographs of sold items off of this website for future promotional purposes.

NUMISMATIC INVENTORY

All items offered for commerce by Colonial Coins and Medals are guaranteed genuine unless it is stated otherwise. Photographs listed with items are of the actual item offered for sale and offer an accurate visual representation albeit in favourable lighting conditions. As with all forms of grading, the grades given to items are not objective and are a statement of opinion by the Company’s cataloguer. Items may also be accompanied by a third party authentication and grade by Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) or Numismatic Guarantee Company (NGC).

RISK

Any loss and/or damage to the dispatched parcel passes to the customer upon dispatch of the purchased item. No sales tax / VAT will be charged by the Company. Colonial Coins and Medals is not responsible for customs delays and/or duties.

WARRANTY

The customer must examine all items upon receiving the package and must notify the Company within seven days of any damage to the numismatic item itself or, in the case of multiple items, if any items are missing from within the parcel. All claims must be accompanied by sufficient supporting evidence. Following discussion, the damaged item/remaining items must be returned immediately using registered postage which provides tracking. Colonial Coins and Medals holds the right to not consider any claim not so notified by the customer after the aforementioned seven-day period.

In the unlikely circumstance that the customer is not satisfied with their purchase for reasons outside of those mentioned above, the customer must contact the Company immediately, and following discussion return the items using registered postage which provides tracking. Claims of this nature will not be considered if the concern was outlined by appropriate description and/or photography of the item prior to purchase.

POSTAGE

When purchasing numismatic items from this store, please provide a complete shipping address and advise us in advance of any special shipping instructions. Every effort will be made to dispatch items three to five days following the receipt of funds. All orders will be sent via Australia Post’s Express postage service, which includes tracking and signature on delivery, or through a courier service if discussed prior. All parcels are covered by our insurance policy, which adds a 1% fee to the overall postage and insurance cost. Orders to North America will be sent uninsured per our insurance policy, and will therefore not have the additional 1% charge applied.

PAYMENT

Purchased items shall be paid for through the Website’s Cart and Check-out system or, if discussed prior, through bank transfer as stated on an invoice. Invoices which remain unpaid for fourteen days will be terminated, and the item returned to stock.

For bank transfer, we accept payment in two currencies: Australian Dollars into our National Australia Bank account, or in Sterling to our NatWest Bank Account.
