Obverse: Diademed head of Queen Victoria facing to the left, legend surrounds, “VICTORIA QUEEN”. Reverse: Mark of value central, within inner beaded border, denomination and date surrounds below, country surrounds above. KM-14. Certified and graded by PCGS as Mint State 64 Red Brown (#38692309). This piece is truly blazing with lustre; the second highest known grade by PCGS, it’s desirability and collectability reflected in recent prices. $500
Comparable examples have been sold through Heritage Auctions: an MS64RB, the same designation as the offered example here, selling for the equivalent of AU$465, whilst an MS63, one grade lower, sold for the equivalent of AU$330.
