Marcus Julius Philippus, Roman Emperor 244-249 AD, Silver Tetradrachm (13.23g, 26mm), Provincial coinage of Seleucia in Pieria, Syria, struck at Rome mint 246 AD. Obverse: Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Philip I facing to the right, legend surrounds, “AYTOK K M IOΛI ΦIΛIΠΠOV CЄB”. Reverse: Eagle stands forward with wings spread, head turned to the left and holding wreath in its beak, “S C” in field, “MON VRB” in exergue, legend surrounds, “ΔHMAΡX ЄΞOYCIAC”. Prieur-304.
