Obverse: Laureate, draped and cuirassed Bust of Philip I facing to the right, legend surrounds, “AYTOK K M IOYΛI ΦIΛIΠΠOC CЄB”. Reverse: Eagle stands facing to the left with wings spread, holding wreath in beak, “ANTIOXIA S C” in exergue, legend surrounds, “ΔHMAΡX ЄΞOYCIAC YΠATO Δ”. Prieur-438. Boasting bold portraiture typical of the mid 3rd century Syrian issues, this tetradrachm of quite fine silver is attractive and a bold representation of Philip I ‘the arab’, Extremely Fine.
