The Free City of Danzig, Silver 5 Gulden, 1927. Obverse: Coat of Arms of Danzig, denomination in exergue. Reverse: Basilica of Danzig within inner circle border, legend surrounds, “Freie Stadt Danzig * Fünf Gulden 1927” ( “ Free city of Danzig, Five Gulden 1927”). Edge: inscription in impressed lettering, “NEC * TEMERE * NEC * TIMIDE *”. KM-147. A scarce type, struck in a city-state in existence for only 19 years, small mintage of 160,000, good Very Fine and scarce.
