Description
Queensland, Ipswich Pastoral & Agricultural Society, Bronze Prize Medallion (48mm), struck circa 1880s, unnamed and unawarded. Obverse: Agricultural scene; cow stands facing left behind a trio of sheep in the foreground and the rest of the flock behind, tree to back left, farm buildings to far back right, mountains extend to background. Reverse: Inner beaded border surrounds bare nameplate, outer legend around, “QUEENSLAND PASTORAL & AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY IPSWICH”. Minor grazes to reverse, else an attractive unnamed piece. Virtually Mint State.
