Description
Indo-Scythians, Nomadic Kings of Saka, Spalahores, Sakastan King with his son Spalagadames 1st Century BC, Æ Hemiobol (23mm), Kandahar (?) mint circa 85-60 BC. Obverse: Figure of King Spalahores on horseback riding right holding whip, all within inner box with legend in Greek around, “CΠAΛYΡIOC ΔIKAIOY AΔEΛΦOY TOY BACIΛEΩC”. Reverse: Herakles seated facing left on rock, in his hands his club, “TA” monogram within circle to left, all within inner box with legend in Karosthi around, “paldhoraputrasa dhramiasa Spalagadamasa”.
