Description
Lesbos, Mytilene, Electrum Hekte – Sixth of a Stater (2.53g, 10.5mm, Chian Standard), struck circa 377-326 BC. Obverse: Head of Apollo Karneios facing right, wearing the Horn of Ammon. Reverse: Eagle standing to right, its head facing back to left, linear square border surrounds; all within incuse square. Bodenstedt-104; HGC 6, 1030. A touch off centre either side, eagle virtually on flan, about Very Fine or better.
