Ionia, Ephesos, Roman Rule, Silver Cistophoric Tetradrachm (12.51g, 26mm, Cistophoric Standard) dated NΓ (53) or 82/1 BC. Obverse: Serpent emerges from Cista Mystica, all within ivy wreath. Reverse: Two serpents entwined around bow and bow case; quiver and strap above, “NΓ” above “EΦE” to left, torch to right. BMC 165; Seaby-4393. Minor edge splitting as a consequence of striking, else good metal quality and quite a pleasing example. Near Extremely Fine or better.
