Description
Augustus, Roman Emperor from 27BC – 14 AD, Silver Denarius (3.69g, 19mm), struck at Colonia Patricia 19 BC. Obverse: Bare Head of Augustus facing right, legend around, “AVGVSTVS CAESAR”. Reverse: Oak wreath with two ties at the centre, legend in three lines within, “OB CIVIS SERVATOS”. Sear-1625; RIC-77a; RSC-195. Slightly narrow flan, therefore parts of legend off-centre on obverse, else a nice example. Very Fine.
