Description
Augustus, Roman Emperor 27BC – 14 AD, Silver Denarius (3.26g, 19mm), struck at Colonia Patricia 19 BC. Obverse: Bare Head of Augustus facing right, legend around, “AVGVSTVS CAESAR”. Reverse: Oak wreath with two ties at the centre, legend above and below, “OB· CIVIS / SERVATOS”. RIC-75a. A small test cut at 1 o’clock, and a somewhat unobtrusive bankers mark to neck on obverse, else a decent example with a lovely portrait. Good Very Fine / Very Fine.
